Fishbowl pricing starts at $229 a month for Fishbowl Inventory Essentials, then $429 a month for Growth and $729 a month for Scale, all billed annually. Essentials includes 2 users, Growth 5 and Scale 10. Fishbowl Advanced, the manufacturing and warehouse product, starts at $595 a month for Advanced Warehouse and $675 a month for Advanced Manufacturing, priced by users and deployment. Every purchase requires an implementation package, which is not priced publicly. So the subscription is only the first line of a Fishbowl budget. The implementation package, the tier you need for two-way QuickBooks sync or forecasting, and extra integrations decide what Fishbowl really costs.

One line on the pricing page is easy to miss: the Inventory plans do not include manufacturing. Bills of materials, work orders and MRP live only in Fishbowl Advanced Manufacturing, so a business that assembles products starts at $675 a month, not $229.

How much does Fishbowl cost?

Fishbowl costs $2,748 to $8,748 a year on its published Inventory plans, before the required implementation package, extra integrations and hardware. Fishbowl Advanced starts at $7,140 a year for Warehouse and $8,100 a year for Manufacturing at the entry price, and rises with users. Because Inventory plans are billed annually, you commit to the full year up front.

Most small distributors land on Growth, because that is where two-way QuickBooks sync, automated reordering and multichannel selling begin. A realistic starting budget for that buyer is $5,148 a year for the subscription alone, plus the implementation quote.

What each Fishbowl plan includes

Fishbowl Essentials ($229 a month)

Essentials is the entry point for a small team moving off spreadsheets. It covers real-time quantities, SKU tracking, reorder points, mobile barcode scanning and a QuickBooks Online or Xero connection, with 2 users. Two users is tight for any operation where the warehouse and the office both need logins, and the reorder points here are thresholds you set rather than numbers the system calculates from demand.

Fishbowl Growth ($429 a month)

Growth is described as the tier with two-way QuickBooks sync. It adds pick, receive and ship workflows, automated reordering, multichannel ecommerce selling, sales tax automation, AI insights and unlimited warehouses, with 5 users. Demand forecasting is still an add-on at this tier, and Fishbowl does not publish its price.

Fishbowl Scale ($729 a month)

Scale is aimed at food and beverage, chemicals and other regulated categories. It is the first Inventory tier with demand forecasting and planning included, and it adds lot traceability, audit trails, advanced permissions, compliance documentation and advanced reporting, with 10 users. If forecasting is the feature you want, this is the tier where it stops being a separate quote.

Fishbowl Advanced Warehouse and Advanced Manufacturing

The Advanced products are Fishbowl's heavier systems, starting at $595 and $675 a month and priced by user count and deployment. Cloud hosting is included, with self-managed deployment available. Advanced Manufacturing is the product with BOMs, MRP, work orders and job costing. Expect a sales-led quote and a longer rollout.

Is Fishbowl a one-time purchase?

No, not anymore. Fishbowl used to sell perpetual licenses with a large up-front fee and a yearly maintenance renewal, and many reviews still quote those one-time prices in the $4,000 to $12,000 range. Fishbowl's current pricing page lists subscriptions instead: monthly prices billed annually for the Inventory plans and starting monthly prices for Advanced. If a comparison site quotes a one-time license fee, it is describing the old model.

Fishbowl costs outside the subscription

• Required implementation package. Fishbowl states that an implementation package is required with every purchase. It includes an implementation specialist, data migration, a 6 to 8 week training certification and go-live support. The price is not published, so get it in writing before you compare.
• Demand forecasting on Essentials and Growth. Listed as an add-on below Scale, with no public price.
• Extra ecommerce and marketplace connections. $50 a month per standard integration beyond what your tier includes. Two extra channels is $1,200 a year.
• Additional users. Each tier includes a fixed number of users. Fishbowl does not publish the cost of adding more on the Inventory plans.
• Custom reports and B2B portals. Listed as add-ons without public prices.
• Hardware. Barcode scanning runs on phones, but warehouses usually buy rugged scanners and label printers. That spend sits outside Fishbowl entirely.

What you actually pay in three worked first-year budgets

These use only published prices, so treat each as the floor. The implementation package lands on top of all three.

A two-person distributor on QuickBooks Online. One warehouse, one sales channel, and a need to stop counting in spreadsheets. Essentials at $229 a month is $2,748 a year. If the business needs changes to flow both ways between Fishbowl and QuickBooks, or a third person needs a login, it moves to Growth.

A wholesaler selling on Shopify and Amazon. Five users, two-way QuickBooks sync, automated reordering and two sales channels puts it on Growth at $5,148 a year. If one of those channels falls outside the included integrations, add $600 a year. Want forecasting too? Either add the unpriced forecasting module or step up to Scale.

A brand that mainly wants demand forecasting. Scale includes it, at $8,748 a year for 10 users. The honest comparison is Growth plus the forecasting add-on quote against $8,748, and both against a dedicated forecasting tool that runs on the QuickBooks data you already have.

Does Fishbowl work with QuickBooks Online?

Yes. The QuickBooks connection is the reason many businesses shortlist Fishbowl. Essentials lists QuickBooks Online and Xero sync, and Growth is the tier Fishbowl describes as having two-way QuickBooks sync. Advanced Manufacturing and Advanced Warehouse are the products Fishbowl lists with QuickBooks Online, Desktop and Enterprise integration; the $229 to $729 cloud plans list QuickBooks Online and Xero only. Does Fishbowl have a free trial?

Fishbowl's pricing page offers demos rather than a self-serve trial. That fits a product sold with a required implementation package, but it means you see the software on Fishbowl's sample data before you see it on yours. Ask for the demo to cover your two or three hardest workflows, such as receiving against a PO or a QuickBooks sync correction, rather than the standard tour.

Is Fishbowl worth the price?

Fishbowl is worth it when you use what it is good at: barcode-driven warehouse work, lot traceability for regulated products, manufacturing with BOMs and work orders, and a QuickBooks connection that has been refined for years. For a warehouse or manufacturer that needs those workflows, $429 to $729 a month plus implementation replaces a lot of manual work.

It is harder to justify when the problem is narrower. Many businesses looking at Fishbowl already track quantities well enough in QuickBooks. What they are missing is a reliable answer to what to reorder, how much, and which items are tying up cash.
