Storekeeper
Built for Amazon FBA sellers

Amazon FBA inventory management software that forecasts replenishment and beats storage fees

Seller Central shows you what is in the warehouse today. It does not tell you how much to ship next, when to ship it so you never run out mid-lead-time, or which SKUs are about to trip an aged-inventory surcharge. Storekeeper is being built for that decision: per-SKU demand forecasts, replenishment reorder points that respect your restock limits, and dead-stock flags before the fees land.

The short answer

Amazon FBA inventory management is how a seller decides what to send into Amazon's warehouses, how much, and when, so units stay in stock without piling up long enough to draw storage fees. Seller Central tracks quantity on hand and shows FBA fee estimates, but it does not forecast demand per SKU, calculate replenishment quantities against your real lead time and restock limits, or warn you before a slow line crosses the aged-inventory surcharge threshold. FBA sellers add software for those jobs: a forecasting and replenishment layer that turns sales history into a shipment plan. Storekeeper is being built as exactly that deciding layer.

Seller Central vs added software

What Amazon tracks for you, and where FBA sellers lose money

Seller Central is a good ledger of what is in the warehouse. It is not a planner, and the gap is where storage fees and stockouts live.

Job Seller Central on its own What you actually need
Show units on hand Yes, by SKU and fulfillment center Nothing extra; this part works
Forecast demand per SKU A blunt restock suggestion, no real model A forecast from each SKU's own history, seasonality and velocity
Plan the next shipment quantity You work it out in a spreadsheet A replenishment quantity that respects lead time, safety stock and your restock limit
Warn before storage fees Fee estimates after the fact An early flag on aging units so you can discount or remove them first
Sync stock beyond Amazon No cross-channel sync One stock number shared with Shopify, eBay and Walmart
What to look for

The parts of FBA inventory management that protect margin

For an FBA seller, two failures cost real money: running out mid-lead-time, and letting stock age into surcharges. Buy on those.

Replenishment forecasting per SKU

FBA lead times stack: manufacturing, freight, then Amazon check-in. A forecast built from each SKU's own velocity tells you how much to ship so stock arrives before you sell out, not after. See how it works in our demand forecasting software guide.

Reorder points across a long lead time

With eight to twelve weeks of total lead time common on imports, a fixed low-stock alert fires far too late. A reorder point that folds in the forecast and a safety stock buffer triggers early. See the reorder point formula.

Aged-inventory and dead-stock flags

Amazon charges monthly storage plus an aged-inventory surcharge on units sitting past roughly six months. Catching dead stock early lets you run a sale or create a removal order before the surcharge stacks up.

One count across every channel

If you sell the same SKU on Amazon plus a Shopify store or Walmart, keeping one accurate number everywhere is the job of multichannel inventory management, so a sale on one platform never oversells another.

Who this fits

FBA sellers who plan shipments from a spreadsheet

If you decide restock quantities by gut feel and last month's sales, this is aimed at you.

Private-label brands

With overseas manufacturing and long freight, one bad forecast means eight weeks out of stock or a container of dead stock. A per-SKU forecast sizes each purchase order to real demand.

Sellers past 50 SKUs

Once you carry dozens of ASINs, tracking cover and restock timing by hand stops working. Software that ranks what to ship next by urgency saves the guesswork.

Multichannel FBA sellers

Selling on Amazon plus your own Shopify store means demand is split across channels. A shared forecast plans against total demand, not a fragment of it.

Frequently asked

Amazon FBA inventory management questions, answered

Does Amazon have inventory management software?
Seller Central includes inventory tools: it tracks units on hand by SKU and fulfillment center, shows FBA fee estimates, and gives a basic restock recommendation. What it does not do is forecast demand per SKU with a real model, plan shipment quantities against your true lead time and restock limits, or warn you before slow stock triggers an aged-inventory surcharge. Most sellers past 50 SKUs add dedicated forecasting and replenishment software for those jobs.
What is the best inventory software for Amazon FBA?
It depends on your bottleneck. SoStocked is purpose-built for FBA forecasting and replenishment and suits sellers with 50 or more SKUs; Veeqo is free and good for cross-channel sync and shipping; Cin7 Core and Descartes Finale fit larger operations that also run wholesale or a warehouse. If your real problem is deciding how much to ship and when rather than just counting units, weigh a forecast-first tool over a broad feature list.
How do I forecast inventory for Amazon FBA?
Good FBA forecasting reads each SKU's own sales velocity, seasonality and trend, then projects demand across your full lead time, which for imports usually stacks manufacturing, freight and Amazon check-in into eight to twelve weeks. From that you set a replenishment quantity and a reorder point that trigger early enough to land the next shipment before you sell out. Seller Central has no real forecasting engine, so this is done in a spreadsheet or with dedicated software.
How do I avoid Amazon FBA storage fees?
Amazon charges monthly storage plus an aged-inventory surcharge on units sitting in a warehouse past roughly six months, and the surcharge climbs the longer stock stays. The defense is not shipping in more than you will sell in that window and catching slow movers early. Flag aging SKUs before they cross the threshold, then discount, bundle or create a removal order while the units still have value rather than paying to store dead stock.
What are Amazon FBA restock limits?
Restock limits cap how many units of a given product type you can send into FBA at once, based on your recent sales and available warehouse capacity. They matter for planning because a forecast that ignores your limit produces a shipment you cannot actually send. Good replenishment software plans against the limit, so it tells you to ship what will both meet demand and clear the cap, and flags when a limit, not demand, is about to cause a stockout.
